Peace announces candidacy for House; McDougle victory needed to open seat

From the Herald Progress: Chris Peace is fired up and ready to surge into his first political office.

There's just one problem: there is no vacant seat in the House of Delegates, where he hopes to impart his conservative principles. Peace is banking that will all change in a couple weeks.

Peace, 29, announced last week that he will seek election to the House of Delegates if Del. Ryan McDougle wins a special election on Jan. 3 to fill the state Senate seat of Lt. Gov.-elect Bill Bolling.
