Christopher K. Peace represents the 97th District, of the Virginia House of Delegates, which includes part of Hanover, King William, and all of New Kent County.
At the legislature, Peace serves on the prominent House Appropriations (state budget) committee where he chairs the budget for all public-school divisions across the Commonwealth. Peace also serves as one of the six House budget conferees. The House conferees negotiate with the Senate on the final state budget conference report. Additionally, Peace is Chairman of the oldest standing committee in the General Assembly, known as General Laws, and also serves on the Health, Welfare and Institutions and Science and Technology committees.
Peace served as the Chairman of the Commission on Youth from 2011 through 2016. He is also a proud member of Virginia’s Conservative Caucus.
